One of my collectors in Chicago commissioned me to paint "Montana" as a gift to his business partner.
This view from his home in Montana is spectacular. His cattle are out to pasture on rolling hills with a mountain backdrop. It was a partly cloudy day with shadows dappling the landscape below. I painted this in my studio from a photo my client took while visiting his partner's homestead. My client was very happy with the painting saying, "It looks even better than the photo." His partner was overjoyed and hung it immediately in his Chicago office. He responded, "I see this view a lot, nice to have it now here."
